1. Data Collection FREQUENZ does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data from its users. The extension operates entirely on your local device. No information about your browsing history, the websites you visit, your identity, your location, or your usage patterns is ever collected by the extension or sent to any external server. The only exception is the optional premium license activation, where you voluntarily provide your email address solely for the purpose of verifying your one-time payment and generating your license key.

2. Audio Processing FREQUENZ accesses audio frequency data from browser tabs that are actively playing audio, such as YouTube or Spotify, using the browser's built-in Web Audio API. This audio processing happens entirely on your local device in real time. The extension reads frequency amplitude values only — it does not record, capture, store, or transmit any audio content, voice data, or sound from your microphone. Your microphone is never accessed under any circumstances.

3. Local Storage The extension uses Chrome's local storage API exclusively to remember your selected theme, waveform style, and license activation status between browser sessions. This data never leaves your device and is never synced, uploaded, or shared with any third party. You can clear this data at any time by removing the extension or clearing your browser's extension storage through Chrome settings.

4. Payment and License Premium license purchases are processed entirely through PayPal's secure payment infrastructure. FREQUENZ does not handle, store, or see your payment card details at any point. When you complete a purchase, your email address is stored on a Cloudflare Workers server solely to validate your license key. This record contains only your email address, your license tier, and your license key — nothing else. Your email is never used for marketing, never sold, never shared with third parties, and is used only to verify your license when you activate it on a new device.

5. Third-Party Services and Contact FREQUENZ does not integrate any analytics tools, advertising networks, tracking pixels, or third-party data collection services. The extension makes no external network requests during normal operation. The only external communication occurs when you voluntarily initiate a license purchase or activation through the upgrade modal, which contacts the license server at frequenz-license.adityamadhok2211.workers.dev.
